Last week a little parcel landed on my desk containing two face masks. Made by a Korean brand called When, these all-natural bio-cellulose sheet masks are made from coconuts so they’re lovely and gentle, and really moisturizing. One of the masks, called Snow Magic, said on the packaging, ‘When you want to lighten up’, and I knew it was going to be the perfect way to relax after a super busy week of work. I was feeling exhausted and run down, and the When Snow Magic Mask was the pick me up I needed.
The masks are super easy to use. You just remove them from the packet, peel off the protective film and apply to your face. And voila! Sit back and relax for up to half an hour and enjoy the refreshing effects the mask gives. I found the mask ever so slightly too big; it kind of overlapped under my chin and round the edges of my face. Understandably though, this product is a one size fits all sort of thing, so I can’t complain really. The mask was really comfortable and easy to wear. It felt completely secure, and I wasn’t at all worried about it falling off. I sat and chilled out for a while, then got up to do a few things before I took the mask off. It was very easy to peel off, as it’s not at all sticky. When you take the mask off, you are instructed to massage the remaining product into your skin. I did so, then jumped in the shower, and gently patted my face dry after.
So, how did I feel afterwards? Did I notice any difference? Well, the simple answer is yes. My skin felt so fresh and smooth. My eyes didn’t feel tired anymore, and I looked and felt radiant. If you’re feeling like you need a little pick me up, or something to make you feel brighter and glowing, I’d really recommend this.
As for the Travelmate Mask, well, I’m saving that for my next trip away. The Snow Magic worked so well and made me feel so great, I just know the travel mask will come in handy after a long flight.
The thing I love most about the When Mask is that it’s like having a mini facial, but at home and at a fraction of the price. They’re not like your liquid face packs that you can pick up for £1 at your local drugstore – they are high quality skin treatments that have been thought out and developed by skincare specialists. At £7 each, it may be more than one would usually spend on such a product, but the refreshing feeling it gave me was so worth it.
Available from Topshop & Selfridges, I can’t wait to get my hands on a few more of these masks for when I need a boost! Have any of you girls ever tried a When Mask? Would you give them a go? Let me know in the comments!
