WHEN: Korean Face Mask
Another week, another beauty & skincare review. This week I’m reviewing When’s bio-cellulose face mask. I had the opportunity of trying three of their five face masks.
All When masks are single use, convenient, and infused with comforting serum. Each pack comes with a soft, jelly like sheet made from coconut juice and contains hyaluronic acid as well as ginseng extracts to help keep skin healthy. There are no parabens, no sulfates, and no triclosan in their face masks.
What makes When’s face masks different from others is their perfectly fitting bio-cellulose technology. Its high-density structural design guarantees an outstanding fit, covering your face allowing you to be active. When I previously used gel masks, I had to lay down while waiting because they always slid off when I moved. I can’t even sit at my desk working on my laptop. When’s masks on the other hand stayed put! They were delicate yet sturdy.10PM Mask:
Your skin ages from 10pm to 2am every night, making this the perfect anti-aging mask. When’s 10:00 PM face mask contains collagen, nano platinum, and watermelon extract to help rejuvenate the skin and improve skin elasticity. It’s the ideal product to use when skin feels dry, tired, and worn.
My experience:
I chose to try this mask first because my facial hygiene has been poor and my skin needed a pick me up. At first glance, I was confused. I read the instructions 5 times and still had a hard time figuring out how to pull it apart for use. Basically the middle part is the mask you put on. The outside one is the plastic and the inner folded one is the paper liner.
The 10pm mask has a mildly citrusy scent. It’s slippier than other Korean masks I’ve tried and kept sticking together during application. However, once it was on my face it it felt like second skin. That’s a problem I tend to have with other Korean masks and I was happy I didn’t have to deal with it.
After about 10-20 minutes I noticed the mask was smooth, silky soft, and fit close to my skin. By the time I had to take it off my face felt invigorated (even after it was off) and nourished. I don’t like having all the leftover product on my face so I dab it with tissue paper then lightly massage the rest in. My face felt so smooth and soft for the next few days; my skin was revived!
Travelmate mask:
When’s Travelmate mask contains chamomile and Swiss Alpine herb extracts to gently hydrate, refresh, and soothe skin. It’s great for globe-trotting girls that need their skin restored from damage and fatigue. This high-quality face mask keeps skin ultra nourished during times of travel or dehydration.
My experience:
The Travelmate’s scent is similar to that of the 10:00PM mask in that it’s citrusy. It reminds me of antibacterial wipes, a scent I personally find pleasing. I’m impressed with the fit of this face mask, it doesn’t leave any air bubbles. After use I noticed my skin was brighter, more hydrated, and smooth. Also, I broke out in a rash and Travelmate helped it go away overnight.
Snow Magic:
When you want clear and vibrant skin, put on When’s Snow Magic face mask to help your skin find its radiance and charm. Snow Magic contains niacinamide and aloe vera leaf extract for brighter, glowing skin.
My experience:
Snow Magic’s bio-cellulose sheet is thicker than the other two and the scent is the same. It’s easier to put on because of how thick it is but I had a hard time having it stick to my chin. However, all other necessary areas were covered. This mask made my skin look radiant, hydrated, and glowing. I felt like I had a facial at the spa.
I’ve tried different Korean gel masks but I prefer When’s bio-cellulose masks. I was able to see instantaneous results and reap the benefits for the duration of a week. It truly is like a mini-spa experience.
The Travelmate and Snow Magic would be your best bet if you’re in need of a face mask for dry skin. If your interested in soft, smooth, and bright skin go with the 10PM.
